Storm rolls through Wolves girls

The Kewaunee girls basketball team's defense clamped down on the Algoma Wolves on Saturday afternoon, leading to a 66-33 win to take control of the Packerland Conference.

The Storm defense limited the Wolves to just five made shots from the field in the first half, a total matched by Jade Kroll. A 28-10 advantage in the first half was only made wider in the second half as Kroll boasted another strong effort, ending her day with 24 points. Braelyn Chevalier added 12 points and Gabby Stangel scored 11 points in the Storm win. No Wolves cracked double figures in the contest with Sierra Slaby's eight points and Bristol Schmidt's six points leading the way in the loss.
