Storm baseball doubles up with visit to Southern Door on 104.1 WRLU Tuesday

The Kewaunee Storm will travel to Brussels on Tuesday afternoon for a twin-bill with the Southern Door Eagles in Packerland Conference baseball.

The Storm (2-3, 5-4 overall) are coming off a doubleheader loss to the Algoma Wolves on Saturday.  In two very different games, the Wolves nipped Kewaunee 2-1, and 20-19.

Southern Door (4-3, 5-4 overall) comes into Tuesday's doubleheader having beat the Sturgeon Bay Clippers in two close games last Thursday.  The Eagles registered a 5-4 and a 4-3 win in the twinbill.

Kewaunee looks to get back on the winning track and will have sophomore Brett Paulsen take the mound in the first game with Brady Pribek getting the nod in the nightcap.

Southern Door, who has impressed Coach John Berns with some early season hitting, has seven players batting with an average of .276 or higher.

The Eagles hope for Tyler Neinas to be able to pitch the opener with Isaac Baudhuin, Drew Daoust, and Will Jandrin expected to pick up some innings on the mound during the doubleheader.

The first pitch of the opener at Southern Door High School is set for 3:45 p.m. with the pregame starting at 3:30 p.m. on 104.1 WRLU.  Paul Schmitt will have the call for the doubleheader which will be also streamed on New Radio Sports Network.
