The #1 seeded Kewaunee Storm (22-2) will host the #8 Howards Grove Tigers in a WIAA Division 4 regional semi-final Friday night.

 

The Storm is coming off a 67-38 win over the Algoma Wolves last Thursday to clinch a share of the Packerland Conference and received a first-round bye in the tournament.

Jade Kroll leads the way for Kewaunee with 16.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, and Brianna Demmin has averaged 11.5 points during the season. 

 

Howards Grove (10-15) needed to go into overtime to defeat Kohler 55-52 on Tuesday to advance in the playoffs.  The Tigers finished 4-8 in the Big East-North Conference and are led by Whitley Schumacher, averaging 13.3 points per game, while Natalie Carmody pulls down over ten rebounds a game.

 

The game will be broadcast on 104.1 WRLU and streamed on New Radio Sports Network, with pregame starting at 6:45 p.m. and tip-off at 7:00 p.m.   Paul Schmitt and Henry Annen will have the call from Kewaunee High School.

 

The winner will play on Saturday night for the regional championship against either #4 Valders or #5 Mischicot.
