Storm Outlast Clippers 60-54 on U102.1

The final week of the season started with another close game between the Kewaunee Storm and Sturgeon Bay Clippers. When these teams met earlier in the season, Kewaunee came away with a come from behind 1 point victory.  Monday night in Sturgeon Bay, they had to fight off several comeback attempts by the Clippers, who erased deficits of 12 and 8 points to regain temporary leads.

The majority of the scoring for the Storm came from the usual suspects. Thomas Stangel led the scoring in the game with 32 points, and Braxton Riha added 14, which included going 6 for 8 from the free throw line.  Connor Kilgore would add 9.  Trying to keep pace the Clippers turned to 6 different scorers, including 14 from Jackson Starr and another 10 from Danny Lodl. No scorer for the Clippers had less than 7 points.

Each team has a regular season home game remaining on Thursday night.  Kewaunee will play host to Algoma, and Sturgeon Bay hosts Green Bay NEW Lutheran.
