Storm girls top Wolves to win share of Packerland

The Kewaunee Storm finished yet another Packerland Conference-winning season on Thursday by beating Algoma on the road 51-36.

 

The Storm inserted their will against the Wolves in the first half, outscoring their rivals 37-15 before the two teams played a tighter frame after the break. The Storm had four players reach double figures in the win. Jade Kroll led the way with a game-high 19 points, with Summer Walechka pouring in 17 points, Gabby Stangel chipping in with 12 points, and Lexi Hanrahan contributing 10 points.

 

Ryley Zimmerman made the most of her senior night, leading the Wolves with 14 points. 

 

In Division 4, Kewaunee earned the #1 seed, and they will wait for the winner for Kohler and Howards Grove while #6 Algoma will host Roncalli.
