The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans travel to Kewaunee to take on the Storm in a renewal of an old rivalry Friday night in a non-conference football matchup.

 

The Spartans are coming off an impressive 34-20 home win over the Xavier Hawks last Friday, while Kewaunee pulled away late to defeat the Kiel Raiders 35-21.

 

Senior Max Ronsman returned to the field for the first time since he injured his leg in Game Five of the 2022 season.  He accounted for four touchdowns by the Spartans. 

 

Kewaunee will depend on the dynamic backfield of quarterback Thomas Stangel, and running backs DJ Echols and Owen Carlson to keep the Storm offense clicking.

 

Kewaunee Head Coach Randy Charles says he is pleased with the way the team came on strong in the Kiel game and expects a big challenge this week from the Spartans.

The pregame is set for 6:45 p.m. on 104.1 WRLU and the kick-off.  Paul Schmitt and Henry Annen will have the play-by-play of the game which will also be streamed on New Radio Sports Network.
