Kewaunee track dominates Sevastopol quad

Both Kewaunee track teams proved why they are the likely favorites in the Packerland Conference with dominating performances at the Sevastopol Quad Tuesday afternoon.

 

The boys scored 147 points, more than doubling Gibraltar, Sevastopol, and Algoma combined (72 points). The girls also handidly won their meet, beating second-place Gibraltar 74-51.

 

For the boys, the team won 15 events including all four relays. Individual winners included Nathan Schlough (100m), Christopher Cullen (800m and 1600m), James Joski (3200m), Isaac Schlies (100m hurdles, 300m hurdles), DJ Echos (shotput, long jump), Kemper Robinson (discus), Jordan  Lamack (high jump), and Maddix Mueller (triple jump). Eighteen other finished in the top three, with several podiums full of the Storm's purple and gold.

 

On the girls' side, the Storm won every relay but the 4x800m relay where they came in second place. Hannah Miller won the triple jump and the 800m while Katie Meier (3200m) and Braelyn Witcpalek (300m hurdles) also won their events. The Storm posted eight other top three performances.
