Kewaunee swept their two games on Friday in Wisconsin Dells, beating Northwestern 7-5 and shutting out Lake Mills 6-0. They return to action on Saturday morning with a match-up against St. Mary's Springs Academy.

 

In game one, the Storm were down three runs right away before scoring single tallies in the first, second, fourth, and fifth before stealing the game away with three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Owen Carlson and Cal Ihlenfeldt each had two RBI while three players had multiple hits. Caleb Schaller went six innings, allowing four earned runs but struck out 11.

 

In game two, the Storm scored three times in the third and seventh innings to put the game out of reach from the L-Cats. Braxton Riha delivered the game-winning hit in the third inning when he cleared the bases with a double. Payton Kohnle, Carlson, and Ihlenfeldt posted multiple hit games. Ihlenfeldt didn't need much help from the offense as he went the distance for the complete game shutout, allowing just three hits while striking out eight.

 

The Storm return to action Saturday morning in the Wisconsin Dells when they play St. Mary's Springs.
