Kewaunee track boys dominate two meets

Two meets in a week proved to be no problem for the Kewaunee boys' track team as they won both multi-team meets hosted by Southern Door and them.

 

On Tuesday, the Storm boys beat Southern Door by 116-91 margin in Brussels at the meet that also included Sturgeon Bay and Algoma. In that meet, the girls' team just missed out on second place with 72 points. First-place finishers included Christopher Cullen (400m, 800m), Isaac Schlies (300M Hurdles), six of the eight relay teams, Kemper Robinson (Discus), Jordan Lamack (high jump), Maddix Mueller (triple jump), Fany Pecout (200m), and Hannah Miller (1600m, triple jump).

 

Thursday's win for the Storm boys was even more impressive, beating second place Peshtigo by 101 points. The girls' team tied Peshtigo for first place with 106 points. Thursday's meet also featured Sturgeon Bay and Sevastopol. First-place finishers included Nathan Schlough (200m), Christopher Cullen (800m), James Joski (1600m), five of the eight relays, DJ Echos (shot put) Kemper Robinson (discus), Jordan Lamack (high jump, triple jump), Hannah Miller (triple jump, 800m, 400m), Fany Pecout (discus), and Jessica Barnica (100m hurdles).
