Kewaunee softball looks to keep momentum facing Two Rivers

After bouncing back strong from their opening day loss with wins over Sturgeon Bay, the Kewaunee Storm softball team will play the Two Rivers Raiders Friday afternoon.

The game was originally scheduled to be played last Friday, but was moved to the 14th due to a postponement. In the game for the Storm on Tuesday, they threw two one-hit games against Sturgeon Bay, ultimately winning both games of the doubleheader by a score of 24-0. Vivian Bootz was an on-base machine hitting three singles and a double, scoring all four times she was at the plate. Emily Todd and Baleigh Saxby took the Clippers deep in the first game of the doubleheader as well.

Two Rivers has started the season 0-2 going into the matchup with Kewaunee, losing 13-2 to Kiel and 3-0 to Valders most recently. The two teams were scheduled to play last season, but the game was canceled late in the season, right before the playoffs started. The Raiders were 15-3 last season and took a trip to the Regional Final, ultimately losing to Winneconne 3-1.

First Pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
