Kewaunee softball sweeps Clippers with pair of one-hitters

The Kewaunee Storm softball team rebounded dramatically from their blowout loss to Chilton by rolling over Sturgeon Bay in both games of the doubleheader Tuesday afternoon.

In the first matchup, the Storm brought home a 15-0 victory through four innings, as the bats were alive for Kewaunee. Vivian Bootz was an on-base machine hitting three singles and a double, scoring all four times she was at the plate. Emily Todd and Baleigh Saxby took the Clippers deep in the first game of the doubleheader as well. Jenna Rohr threw a one hit game, with the only hit from Regan Kasten.

In the second game, Kewaunee mounted six runs in the fourth inning to take down and sweep the Clippers 9-0. Jenna Rohr was outstanding again for Kewaunee in the second game, allowing yet again just one hit, this one coming from Madeline Propsom.

Sturgeon Bay is set for a matchup with Oconto on Saturday, Kewaunee will move onto a non-conference game with Two Rivers on Friday.
