The Kewaunee girls' basketball team earned their first victory of the season on Friday night, beating Gibraltar 56-29.

The Storm took a 28-11 advantage into the break and did not look back thanks in part to Breanna Demmin. She went 9-13 from the free throw line to go along with six made shots inside the arc to lead the Storm with 21 points on the night. Lexie Hanrahan added 10 points while two others registered at least five points in the win.

The Vikings struggled from the line, making just eight of their 22 attempts. Mikala Gorham continued her hot start to the season with 11 points while Andie Schar made her season debut, chipping in nine points.
