Brillion Lions Outgun Kewaunee Storm

The Kewaunee Storm traveled to Brillion and met a very talented Lion team. The Lions emerged victorious in a 65-39 final score. The Lions did not show any signs of weakness, scoring was not difficult. The Storm were not able to establish any sort of offense as turnovers were a major problem. It didn’t help that the three-point attempts were not falling. Brillion’s guards were able to dribble through the attempted full-court pressure. The failed pressure and the turnovers led to many fast break points. One of which ended in a very powerful Jeremey Lorenz two-hand slam.

With all the talent on the Lion’s roster Lorenz wasn’t needed for most of the contest. Grady Geiger led Brillion in points with 18. Geiger was efficient on offense and defense. He and Lorenz combined for 32 of their 65 points. These two along with star guard Caeden Holly could be deadly come playoffs.

The Storm were led by senior guard Payton Kohnle. He led the team in scoring with 14 points and attempted to penetrate the Lion interior defense. Stangel, Cullen, and Ihlenfeldt all had 6.
