Storm look to repeat last seasons Girls Basketball success

The Kewaunee Storm Girls Basketball team had a strong showing last season, finishing as Packerland Conference runner-ups behind Oconto. The Storm will see almost a completely new team hit the court this season however, losing seven graduating seniors.

The Storm will have to find the production to replace their top six leading scorers of the past season; with Taylor Schleis, Toni Bortilini, Mykenzi Uhlers, Sabrina Ferron, and Kiley Gaedtke all receiving some sort of All-Packerland Conference recognition last year. Kewaunee finished last season with a record of 17-9 overall, and 13-3 in conference play. The Storm were eliminated in the second round of last year's WIAA Girls Basketball Tournament to Oostburg.

Kewaunee will look to get big strides of improvement from underclassmen, with Lexi Hanrahan being the highest scoring underclassmen last season, as she averaged 3.4 Points Per Game.

The Storm will return to action this season as they host the Wrightstown Tigers on Tuesday November 15th, and begin Packerland play against their neighbors the Algoma Wolves on November 29th.
