Storm girls try to ground Flying Dutchman

The Kewaunee Storm girls' basketball team hit the road Friday night for their second-round matchup against Oostburg.

 

The Storm won their fifth straight game by blowing past Sturgeon Bay in its opening-round game 63-15. Mykenzi Uhlers and Taylor Schleis have anchored the Storm's offense all season long with both players averaging over 11 points per game.

 

The Flying Dutchmen had a bye to the second round after winning the Big East Conference with a 17-2 mark. The team went 20-4 overall, including a 20-point win against Random Lake last Thursday. Ashley Ternes (16.5 ppg), Brynn Wisse (13.0 ppg), and Caris Jaeger (12.2 ppg) are all averaging double figures.
