Kewaunee Football battles Black River Falls on 102.1 MORE FM

After a 17-month hiatus due to fall sports being moved to the spring, the Kewaunee Storm will travel to Amherst Saturday to take on the Black River Falls Tigers in high school football action.  Kewaunee of the Packerland Conference is part of a 13-team independent league this spring that includes teams from throughout the state.  The Storm will play a six-game schedule with all games played on the road.  Black River Falls plays in the Coulee Conference along with Arcadia and Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau.  Kewaunee comes into the season with 35 players on the roster with four seniors.  Coach Randy Charles says the team is excited to finally get on the field against an opposing team.  The Storm last played against Chilton in a Level 2 playoff loss in 2019.  Pregame is set for 12:30 pm at Amherst High School with kick-off set for 1 pm.  Matt Piesler and Paul Schmitt will have the call on 102.1 MORE FM and streamed on NEW Radio Sports Network.
