Storm girls battle Oconto at home

The Kewaunee Storm girls' basketball team looks to stay perfect in the Packerland Conference when it hosts the Oconto Blue Devils on Monday night.

A pair of non-conference losses are the only blemishes on the Storm's season thus far. It led from start to finish in its 73-31 victory over Sevastopol on December 29th. It only allowed the Pioneers three points in the opening half of play while five players went on to score in double digits. Claire Kohnle leads the Storm with 14 points a game, but Mikenzi Uhlers and Taylor Schleis have provided great options offensively as well as they both average in the double figures as well.

The Blue Devils are 1-4 in Packerland Conference play and 2-6 overall. They enter the game with a a little momentum after beating Crivitz 62-39 on January 2nd. The Blue Devils feature one of the league's best players with Lianna Baxter averaging over 21 points a game and close to 10 rebounds a contest. Hannah Moe offers some offensive punch as well, scoring 20 points in the Blue Devils' win over the Wolverines.

Tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
