Storm wrestling cruises past Truckers

The Kewaunee Storm wrestling team did not drop a single contested match on Tuesday night, defeating Clintonville 65-12.

 

Jack Severin put the first points on the board at 138 pounds for the Storm as he gathered a few takedowns before getting a pin in under a minute. After the Truckers accepted a forfeit at 145 pounds, Kewaunee's Logan Steinhorst did not waste much time either on the mat as he was able to get a pin approximately 30 seconds into the second period. The Truckers took another forfeit at 160 pounds and it was all Storm after that as they took the next 53 points. Kewaunee's Mitchell Thompson won his match at 170 pounds with a 15-0 technical fall in two periods of work. Kemper Robinson took the next win for the Storm with a 53-second pin at 182 pounds.  Jason Reinke piled on 10 points at 195 pounds before getting fall with 1:37 left in the second period. At 220, Matthew Boeder used a butcher move to turn his opponent after getting the reversal and got the pin in 2:52. The Storm took forfeits at 285, 113, 120, and 16 before Max Severin closed out the dual at 132 pounds with a pin in 1:35. 

 

The next dual for the Storm is on January 7th against Peshtigo with the first match taking place at Kewaunee at 7 p.m.
