The postponement of the athletics schedule at Clintonville High School could have a ripple effect at two Kewaunee County high schools.

According to the WBAY, Clintonville School District switched to all-virtual learning on Monday and has suspended its athletic seasons for at least two weeks. Clintonville is a member of the Northeastern Conference for all sports except football where it faces Packerland opponents. One of Kewaunee's four football games this season was scheduled to be against Clintonville on October 30th, which is already a make-up from a missed matchup on September 11th. Luxemburg-Casco saw its soccer game against the Truckers called off for good when Clintonville opted to send soccer and volleyball to the alternative spring season. The district could opt to the do the same for the football team, which has only played in two games including a 44-7 loss to Southern Door in the season opener.
