After 18 minutes of play Friday night, the Kewaunee High School girls’ basketball team found themselves leading tenuously in what can only be described as a slugfest. A strong second half allowed the Storm to improve a 15-13 advantage to a 49-25 final score. Mackenzie Tlachac was the only Kewaunee player to crack double figures, finishing with 17 points.
The Storm has two regular-season games remaining against Sevastopol and Southern Door. Kewaunee has already clinched the championship as they hold a five-game edge over Gibraltar and Peshtigo in second place.
