Kewaunee High School

Kewaunee boys drown out Sevastopol

The Kewaunee High School boys basketball team blanketed Sevastopol’s offense like a summer thunderstorm. The Pioneers could never get into a rhythm attacking the basket in an 83-48 loss.

Kewaunee improves to 9-2 overall with their two losses being by less than five points to nonconference opponents. Kewaunee was lucky to catch Sturgeon Bay early in the season before the Clippers gelled into the championship threat that has been on display the past three weeks or so. The other challenger in the Packerland to hand Kewaunee a defeat is Southern Door. Kewaunee travels to the Eagles and Sturgeon Bay this week in consecutive games. If the Storm can pass that herculean test, a nonconference game against Shiocton and a return engagement with Southern Door on the final night of the regular season are the last challenges remaining this year.

Sevastopol travels to Green Bay for a 5:30 start against the Northeast Wisconsin Christian Home Schoolers. The game takes place at Holy Family School located at the intersection of Fisk Street and 9th Street.
