Kewaunee football dispatches Crivitz 48-12 Friday night

The Storm offense was almost as potent on the gridiron Friday night as Mother Nature was this past week. It started on the ground for Kewaunee with running back Owen Kudick averaging nine yards per carry. Kudick was the workhorse handling all 31 rushing attempts on the night for 279 yards and four scores. Quarterback Ryan Carmichael had three touchdown passes of his own balanced against an interception. Carmichael finished the night with 12 completions on 16 attempts for 108 yards.

A concerning thing for Coach Randy Charles and his staff is that big plays reared their head again against the Kewaunee defense. Crivitz’s two touchdowns were a 36-yard pass and a 70-yard run. Crivitz only ran 25 plays on offense which makes that stand out even more. Kewaunee is off this week. Originally they were scheduled to line up against Sturgeon Bay but that game has been forfeited by the Clippers and Kewaunee was unable to swap in another opponent.
