Kewaunee's defense will look to match their results from last season and other great years in their history. The Storm shut out two opponents last year and didn't allow more than 22 points in any regular season game. In their state championship season of 2010, they didn't allow more than 21 points in any game and shut out five opponents including four in a row in the middle of the season. That team's defense was led by Jordan Schmidt who picked off 12 passes including one for a touchdown. Clayton Paral was the other Storm player that season to return an interception for a touchdown. Kewaunee begins the 2019 season on Friday when they host Kiel.
