An early goal proved to be the difference Tuesday night as Gibraltar fell 1-0 to Appleton West in a non-conference boys soccer matchup on the road.
The Terrors wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, finding the back of the net just 2:30 into the match to take a 1-0 lead.
That goal would stand as the only score of the night, as Gibraltar was unable to find an equalizer over the remainder of the contest.
The victory marked Appleton West's first win of the season, while Gibraltar dropped to 8-7-2 overall.
The Vikings will look to bounce back Thursday, Oct. 15, when they travel to Providence Academy for a 4 p.m. matchup to close out their regular-season schedule.
