Vikings return to action against NEW Lutheran on 105.1 The GOAT

It has been two weeks since Gibraltar last took the field, and they hope to build some positive momentum toward the end of the season when they battle NEW Lutheran at Oneida Nation on Friday night.

In their last game, Vikings struggled to get off the field on defense in a 45-8 loss to the Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Titans. Trailing 32-0, the Vikings finally found the end zone on their first possession of the third quarter, with Hobbs Emerson connecting with Wyatt Bultman on two long passes, including a 13-yard pass in the corner of the end zone to make it 32-8. As it did against Algoma, the injury bug hit them hard against the Titans, forcing them to forfeit their game against Valley Christian.

The Blazers are coming off a 36-20 loss to Algoma. Hayden Schultz led the team with 237 passing yards and 70 rushing yards en route to three total touchdowns. The loss dropped the Blazers to 3-2 on the season. One of those wins came against Gibraltar in week one in Fish Creek, with Schultz piling up four total touchdowns with 253 yards through the air and 23 on the ground.

Tim Kowols will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT beginning at 6:45 p.m. and the kickoff at 7 p.m.
