Two Packerland Conference rivals will collide in Fish Creek on Thursday when Gibraltar welcomes Sturgeon Bay.

The Vikings are coming off a second-place finish at the Hilbert Invitational. After Algoma avenged their conference match from earlier in the week in three sets 14-25, 26-24, 13-15, the Vikings rallied to win four of the next five. The Vikings beat Wittenberg-Birnamwood 26-24, 25-20 and Roncalli 24-26, 26-24, 15-12 before losing to Central Wisconsin Christian 17-25, 19-25. They closed out the day with victories over Hilbert 25-11, 25-18 and Mishicot 25-11, 25-18. The Vikings were led by Ema Collak (35 kills, 8 aces, 33 digs, 4 blocks), Ella Clarke (29 kills, 6 aces, 10 blocks), Isla Fagundes (87 assists, 36 digs, 6 aces), Aileen Torres (17 kills, 33 digs, 4 blocks), and Azucena Jauregui (14 kills, 39 digs, 8 blocks). 

The Clippers earned a 3-0 sweep over Kewaunee, 25-13, 25-15, and 25-23 in their last match. Offensively, Sturgeon Bay received contributions from several hitters. Izzy Schoeneman led the attack with 12 kills, while Reen Walker added 9 kills and Audrey Harrington finished with 8 kills. Auna Anderson added four kills, and Leah Hansen contributed two. The setters also kept the offense moving throughout the night. Makenna Coyhis recorded 32 assists, while Prudence Goettleman added three. Defensively, Sturgeon Bay had contributions throughout the lineup: Audrey Harrington with 6 digs, Reen Walker with 5, Jericha Reynolds with 5 as well, and others helping keep rallies alive and transition the Clippers back into their offense. It was noticeable against Kewaunee the improvement in our blocking, coverage, and attacking as a team.
