For the second week in a row, the Gibraltar Vikings struggled get off the field on defense in a 45-8 loss to the Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Titans 45-8 on Friday night.
The Vikings were in trouble from the opening possession when the Titans' Luke Koslowsky recovered a fumble and scored from a few yards out to make it 6-0. The Farley brothers took over the scoring from there as Lucas Farley threw for two touchdowns while Jake Farley caught one and took a punt return in for another to make it 24-0 at the break.

The Titans extended their lead to 32-0 on the opening possession of the second half when Lucas Farley found PJ Farley for a second touchdown through the air. The Vikings finally found the end zone on their first possession of the third quarter with Hobbs Emerson connecting with Wyatt Bultman on two long passes, including a 13-yard pass in the corner of the end zone to make it 32-8.
The Titans thwarted any attempt at a comeback with Lucas Farley galloping 41 yards on the following drive and Carson Joyce found the end zone for the team's final score.
With more injuries piling up in Lena, the Vikings will try to get healthy before they return home to face Valley Christian, which beat Algoma on Friday 31-14. Tim Kowols will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT beginning at 6:45 p.m. followed by kickoff at 7 p.m on Friday.
