Gibraltar baseball welcomes Prentice for tournament opener on 105.1 The GOAT

The wait is over for the Gibraltar/Washington Island baseball team as they open their WIAA Tournament play with a date against Prentice in Fish Creek on Tuesday.

 

The Vikings last played on Tuesday, which was an 11-8 win over Bonduel. Cam Munao doubled and homered as a part of a 4-4, four RBI day for the Vikings. Hobbs Emerson also drove in four runs on three hits while Owen Dannhausen also clubbed three hits. The Vikings overcame five errors in the contest, which led to six of the eight runs allowed by Emerson and Aaron Brey to be unearned.

The Buccaneers enter the game with an 8-11 mark, earning their bus ride to Fish Creek with an 11-1 victory over Three Lakes. It snapped a two-game skid with the victory, highlighted by their 1-2-3 batters going a combined 6-11 with six RBI and three doubles.
