With temperatures finally climbing into the 80s after a rough stretch of weather, the Gibraltar Vikings made the most of a nice day at the baseball diamond, blanking Three Lakes and Bowler to move to 14-6 on the season.
Aaron Brey set the tone in game one, striking out 11 over five hitless innings before Cam Munao closed it out with three more strikeouts in relief. Munao went 2-for-4 at the plate and swiped four of the team's 10 stolen bases. Wyatt Bultman led the offense with two hits and three RBIs, and Gibraltar drew nine walks in the 8-0 win.
Game two was over early. The Vikings put up six in the first inning and never looked back in a 10-0 win over Bowler. Munao stayed hot, going 3-for-4 with a double, and Hobbs Emerson earned the win by tossing three scoreless innings with five strikeouts. Six different players drove in a run as Gibraltar spread the wealth with 11 hits and seven stolen bases on the day.
