Vikings' Martin, Brey sign NLI

Two more Gibraltar athletes will move onto the next level to play their respective sports after the track team's Josie Martin and the baseball team's Aaron Brey signed their National Letters of Intent earlier this week.

Martin will continue her track and field career at UW-Eau Claire, following in the footsteps of McKailey Reisen who joined the squad in past years. She set a personal best in the shotput of 31"10' to grab the school record. She has posted events four times (one shot, three discus) this season.

Brey has been a mainstay on the All-Packerland Conference squads since his freshman year, primarily as a pitcher. He signed on to throw at Carroll University next year. In his last outing, he threw six innings of shutout ball, allowing one hit while striking out ten in an 11-0 victory over NEW Lutheran.
