Gibraltar/Washington Island avenged an earlier season loss to Oconto Falls on the baseball diamond on Thursday with a 5-4 walk-off extra inning win in Fish Creek.
The Vikings once again had to battle back from behind as the Panthers flipped a 1-0 advantage for the Vikings from the first inning into a 4-1 lead in the sixth inning. Cam Munao cut the lead in half in the Vikings' half of the sixth inning when he was hit by a pitch before Wyatt Bultman's clutch two-out, two-run triple in the seventh extended the game. The Vikings finally prospered in the 11th inning when Charlie Reinhardt singled in Owen Dannhausen to extend the team's winning streak to three.
Luke Rericha, Bultman, and Reinhardt all had two and were responsible for four of the team's five RBI. Munao, Aaron Brey, Dannhausen, Hobbs Emerson, Miles Richmond, and Mason Isaacson-Krueger also recorded hits as they outhit the Panthers 12-6. Miles Richmond earn the win in relief, allowing no runs on one hit over the final 5.1 innings.
