Gibraltar welcomes Sturgeon Bay for baseball doubleheader on 105.1 The GOAT

Gibraltar and Sturgeon Bay will renew their Packerland Conference when they play a pair of games on Friday in Fish Creek beginning at 4 p.m.

The Vikings have won five of their last six games, which includes a doubleheader split in their last games against Peshtigo. In their 11-1 loss, a seven-run fourth inning led to an early five-inning exit. The frame featured eight free passes to first base (six walks, one hit by pitch, one error), including three bases-loaded walks. Cam Munao and Hobbs Emerson registered the lone hits. The Vikings did an 180 in the second game, winning 11-1 in five inninings as they outhit the Bulldogs 13-2. Wyatt Bultman posted three RBI while Munao, Owen Dannhausen, and Aaron Brey all knocked in a pair.

The Clippers enter the contests on a three-game losing streak, which include a sweep at the hands of Southern Door. In their 8-3 defeat, a five-run second inning proved to be the difference as they played level with the Eagles after that. Four different players had one hit while Matty Hartl was responsible for the RBI. In their 8-7 loss, it was a four-run sixth inning that erased a 4-1 advantage. The Clippers tied the game in the top of the seventh only to get walked off in the back end. Jack Higginbotham, Drew Propsom, and Rylan Ruenger all had two hits with Propsom driving in a pair.
