The Gibraltar softball team looks to get in the win column for the first time in 2026 when they travel to Manitowoc to face Roncalli on Monday.
The Algoma softball team received strong pitching to pair with its potent offense Friday evening as it swept Gibraltar in a doubleheader, 18-0 and 18-2. In the first game, which aired on 105.1 The GOAT, the Vikings were no-hit by Wolves ace Macie Zimmerman. For the Vikings, Glocke and Gabby Solomon split the pitching duties, combining for seven strikeouts but allowing 14 walks in the loss. The Vikings began to get their bats going in the second inning of the second game with back-to-back singles from Celeste Ashley and Megan Gallant before scoring their first runs in the third inning on an error. Olivia Pelkey recorded the other Vikings hit. Emilie Glocke took the loss, allowing 18 runs (4 earned) on 14 hits while striking out five.
First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
