Vikings boys sail past Tigers

The Gibraltar Vikings won their second straight game by double figures Monday, beating Gillett 70-40 in front of their home fans in Fish Creek.

 

The Vikings opened the game with a 14-2 run over a three-minute span, outscoring the Tigers 41-30 in the first half. The scoring pace slowed in the second half, but a 15-3 run late cemented the win as Gibraltar earned consecutive victories for the first time this season.

 

Kayin Jackson led the Vikings with 15 points, while Marco Jauregui added 14 and Aaron Brey chipped in 13 in the victory. Brody Halla and Henry Schaal each scored 10 points to pace the Tigers in the loss.

 

The Vikings are back in action Friday when they travel to Peshtigo to take on the Bulldogs.
