Gibraltar and Algoma renew pleasantries in Fish Creek on Friday night as the Packerland Conference boys' basketball season rolls on.
The Vikings are coming off a 54-45 loss to Sturgeon Bay last Saturday following a thrilling win over Southern Door. Marco Jauregui followed up his game-clinching performance with 15 points to lead the Vikings. Kayin Jackson added 11 points and Wyatt Bultman contributed 10 points in the loss. Vikings head coach Travis Ward likes how competitive his team has been in their games as of late, even if if they have not always translated into wins.

The Wolves have dropped two straight non-conference games against Reedsville and Valders. In the Valders game, the Vikings kept one of the Wolves' leading scorer Parker Lischka in check as he tallied just seven points. Griffen Robinson led the Wolves with 15 points while Charlie Prokash added 11 points and Aidan Zeitler chipped in eight more. The matchup against the Vikings was one of their first games they played without Braeden Leist, who will be out a few games with an injury. Head coach Eric Schneider hopes they can work some things out ahead of Friday as they adjust to life without Leist for now.
