Down Jackson, Gibraltar boys fall to Two Rivers on the road

It was a close game all night, but the six point deficit at halftime would only be drawn to 5 as the low-scoring match resulted in favor of Two Rivers 41-37.

A zone defense ran by Two Rivers helped keep an explosive offense from the Vikings out of their rhythm.

Marco Jauregui contributed 15 off the bench and led Gibraltar's offensive threat. Leading all scorers, though, was Noah Shillcox with 17 including a perfect 5 of 5 from the free throw line.

Coach Travis Ward of Gibraltar liked the way his bench played in Jackson's absence, "our bench stepped up to give us some energetic defense and some timely buckets, but it was too much to overcome."

Next up, Sevastopol Thursday Dec. 18th at 7 p.m. It is their last game before the New Year.
