Vikings boys search for first win in Oconto on 105.1 The GOAT

Two teams looking for their first win of the season will meet in Oconto Tuesday night (weather permitting) when Gibraltar make the trip around the bay to face the Blue Devils.

The Vikings enter the matchup 0-3 to start the year, including a 58-52 loss to NEW Lutheran last Thursday night. Marco Jauregui ended his night with 18 points while Kayin Jackson scored 10 points and Aaron Brey and Wyatt Bultman each chipped in eight points in the Vikings' loss. Head coach Travis Ward credited the Blazers with hitting big shots late while his team could not cash in on their opportunities. He added that his Vikings played with good energy and he is confident that they will learn from their mistakes as they look forward to next week.

The Blue Devils are 0-3 to start their campaign after an exodus of senior players from last year's regional finalists. One of those players was Carter Koch, who was stalwart on the Blue Devils for four seasons en route to setting the school record for scoring. They lost to Algoma 83-54 in their last game, with the Blue Devils' Lars Saldana leading the way with 13 points and three other players scoring at least seven points.

Tim Kowols will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening tip at 7 p.m.
