The Gibraltar girls' basketball team rebounded from their loss earlier in the week to beat Goodman-Pembine 47-35 in Thursday's home opener.
The Vikings jumped out to a 32-17 halftime lead thanks to Josie Martin's strong play inside that allowed her to score 12 of her team-high 14 points. Azucena Jauregui joined her in double figures with 10 points while Emilie Glocke and Ashlyn Lautenbach each chipped in seven points in the win. Ellie Garrow paced the Falcons with a game-high 21 points thanks to six three-pointers.
The Vikings will playing Suring on Monday before taking a break for Thanksgiving. After the break, they will play on 105.1 The GOAT when they battle NEW Lutheran on December 2nd.
