It took a while for either team to get on the board, but once Elkhart Lake saw the first shot drop, the momentum swung hard their way. The Resorters settled in, controlled the tempo, and built a 22-6 halftime lead.
Gibraltar’s defense held firm for the first five minutes of the second half, but just like the opening stretch, once Elkhart Lake found their rhythm again, the offense opened up. The Vikings continued to struggle on the offensive end, and the gap only widened from there. Elkhart Lake closed out a dominant 49-16 victory.
Ashley Lautenbach led the Vikings with five points while Megan Gallant added four points. The Resorters' Paige Ganga and Kylie Sander led all scorers with nine points apiece.
Gibraltar returns to action on November 20th at 6:00 p.m. against Goodman/Pembine.
