Four local schools will race through Peninsula State Park and around the campus of Gibraltar for the annual Chief Kahquados Invitational on Thursday afternoon.
Algoma, Crivitz, Denmark, Gibraltar, Hilbert, Mauston, Mishicot, Luxemburg-Casco, Oconto, Reedsville, Roncalli, Sturgeon Bay, and Wrightstown are all scheduled to compete. The race schedule includes:
2:00pm Girls Varsity
2:45pm Boys Varsity
3:25pm Girls & Boys JV
Last year, the Spartans won both the boys and girls titles with Claire DuChateau winning the girls race and Kyan Lynts finishing in second place in the boys race.
In other cross country action, Southern Door and Kewaunee travel to Two Rivers to face West De Pere, Valders, Howards Grove, Kohler, Manitowoc Lutheran, Sheboygan Christian, Notre Dame Academy, Manitowoc Lincoln, Bay Port, Mason County Central, NEWCHAA (Northeast Wisconsin Christian Homeschoolers Athletic Associaton), and Chesterton Academy of St. John Paul II Classical. The race is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
