An eight-run fifth inning allowed Gibraltar/Washington Island to end its game in five innings against Sheboygan Lutheran, winning the contest 10-0.
The Vikings put two up on the board in the first inning thanks to a wild pitch and a passed ball. They would be held scoreless until the fifth inning when they collected five base hits, including run-scoring singles from Cam Munao, Jaxin Lindgren, Liam Lindenberg, and Mason Isaacson-Krueger. Munao and Lindenberg each collected two RBI in the win while Brady Kita reached base four times on a hit and three walks. Aaron Brey earned the win, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out seven.
The Vikings will play a doubleheader against Southern Door on Friday. Both ends will be carried on U-102.1 with Tim Kowols and Jacob Nate on the call.
