Vikings baseball stays perfect with win over Pioneers

The Gibraltar/Washington Island baseball team scored early and late in their 7-0 win over Sevastopol on Thursday.

The Vikings took advantage of an error and a dropped third strike to score twice in the first inning while a Braden Kita double staked them to a 3-0 advantage after two innings. It would stay that way until the seventh inning when Cam Munao drove in two run on a single and later scored along with Owen Dannhausen when Liam Lindenberg lined his own base hit.

Aaron Brey scored two runs to help his own cause on the mound, where he went the distance, allowing no runs on two hits and one walk while striking out six. Bennett Isaacson-Krueger also added a hit for the Vikings. Logan Schuh and Tyler Grooters accounted for the lone hits for the Pioneers.
