Gibraltar welcomes Sturgeon Bay on 105.1 The GOAT

The Gibraltar Vikings look to extend their winning streak to three when they host Sturgeon Bay on Thursday night.

The Vikings are in the midst of their first multi-game winning streak of the season after they dispatched Stockbridge earlier in the week 57-17. Mikayla Gorham scored 22 of her game-high 25 points in the first half for the Vikings as they took a 40-10 lead into the break. Anna Jarosh added 14 more in the win.

The Clippers are trying to break a seven-game losing streak when they head to Fish Creek. In their game earlier this week against Peshtigo, the Clippers rallied in the second half to take a four-point lead at one point. However, costly turnovers and empty possessions weighed heavily as the Bulldogs stepped up, and some hit big shots as they lost 57-51.

The Clippers have the upper hand on the Vikings in the season series, winning their previous matchup in Sturgeon Bay 54-41. Dasha Yeltysheva was one of three Clippers in double figures with 23 points as they outscored the Vikings 25-15 in the second half. Megan Schar scored 15 points in the loss for the Vikings.
