For Gibraltar student Jameson Tepe, his love for hockey is a long-distance relationship.

 

Tepe is a member of the Green Bay United Gryphons, aU18 WAHA hockey team serving northeast Wisconsin. The team is made up primarily of players like Tepe who want to play hockey but their respective schools don't have a team of their own. With no rinks in Door or Kewaunee counties, Tepe travels to Green Bay three days a week to get his practices in and some weekends even further away for games. Following in his cousin's footsteps is no easy feat considering the travel, but it is one he is willing to make.

After playing a weekend of games in Iron Mountain, Tepe and the Gryphons will play at home against Kenosha on March 1st and at home against Verona on March 9th.
