Vikings boys can't catch Raiders

Two Rivers' zone defense gave the Gibraltar boys basketball team fits in a 65-41 loss in Fish Creek on Monday.

The Vikings found themselves down 39-20 at the break after they were able to beat the Raiders' press but could not get around the quick and aggressive defenders playing in their zone defense. Braden Kita scored seven of his team-high 17 points in the first half, ending his evening with three three-pointers. Marco Jauregui added seven points and Kayin Jackson contributed six points in the loss. Carson Kadow led the Raiders with 25 points while Alex Johnson and Christian Pyles each added nine points.

The Vikings are back in action in Oconto on Friday night. Tim Kowols will have the call from Oconto on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening tip at 7 p.m.
