Vikings boys bit by Wolves

The Gibraltar Vikings boys basketball team had no answer for Hilbert's hot shooting from beyond the arc as they lost 64-45 on the road Thursday night.

The Wolves drained six threes to go along with their 19 made field goals inside the arc to sail past the Vikings. Nathan Huettl, who averages about six points a game, erupted for 22 points with four three-pointers to pace the Wolves. He was a key part to the Wolves taking a 32-18 lead into the break with 15 first-half points. Their usual lead scorer, Drew Halbach, was just over his average with 13 points, while Elliott Sheets contributed eight points. Kayin Jackson led the Vikings with 17 points, nine of which came in the second half. Braden Kita added eight points and Liam Lindenberg and Marco Jauregui each chipped in seven points in the loss.
