Vikings girls pass by Pats

The Gibraltar girls basketball team made the most of their trip to Pembine on Thursday, beating the Patriots 58-34.

The Vikings carried a 25-13 advantage into halftime thanks in part to Megan Schar and Mikala Gorham. The pair combined to score 21 points, nearly outscoring their hosts from behind the arc with each player hitting a pair of three-pointers. Schar's hot shooting continued in the second half as she finished with a game-high 21 points. Gorham's night ended with 16 points while Megan Gallant chipped in eight points and the Jarosh sister combined to add 11 points. Emersyn Suther did her part for the Patriots to keep things close as she scored a game-high 24 points in the loss.
