Vikings boys visit Eagles Friday night on 105.1 The GOAT

The Gibraltar Vikings boys basketball team will hit the road Friday night as they take on the conference-leading Southern Door Eagles in Brussels.

The Vikings' offense sputtered in their last road contest on Tuesday, a 51-23 loss to Peshtigo. The team mustered just eight points in the first half before the pace picked up a bit in the second half. No Vikings players reached double figures with Jeffrey Mize pacing the team with six points.

The Eagles have been flying high so far this season, tied with Kewaunee with a 4-0 mark in the Packerland and a 6-2 mark overall. Last week, the Eagles' first nine points came from Caden Pierre, who finished the night with 18 in a 63-52 win over Algoma. He was only outscored by Drew Daoust, who used a 19-point second half to finish with 28.

Tim Kowols will have the call from Brussels on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the tip-off at 7 p.m.
