The Gibraltar Vikings boys basketball team broke a two-game losing skid Friday night with a 53-48 victory over Sevastopol.
The Vikings ended the half on a 14-3 run to take a slim 23-21 into the locker room. The Pioneers were able to keep things tight through the very end, but the Vikings were able to hit their free throws to ward off the challenge. Kayin Jackson led all scorers with 16 points to pace the Vikings with Liam Lindenberg pitching in 11 points and Aaron Brey adding nine points. Three others scored at least five points in the Vikings win. The Pioneers were led by Bo Tanck's 15 points. Logan Schuh pitched in nine points while Lucas Delsart and Damien Lardinois added six points in the Pioneers' loss.
