Algoma's Mylee Jones and Gibraltar's Pam Prescott now have more in common than just being Packerland Conference volleyball players after each hit the 1,000 dig milestone Thursday night.

According to Vikings assistant volleyball coach Samantha Winker, Prescott needed just one dig to reach her 1000th dig going into the game, and Jones was close behind, needing just four. Both girls reached the milestone early in the first set. Prescott, who has played Libero for the Vikings for the past three years, is Gibraltar’s first player to surpass 1000 in the digs category.
